oh christmas tree

Don't let the lack of snow fool you... just a week or so ago I took these photos almost losing a hand to the bitter cold! It was well worth the half hour search for the perfect tree though. You know, the one that just screams, "pick me, pick me!". It smells like heaven and fits perfectly into the corner of our living room. I love having the tree up, twinkly lights all aglow in the evenings. It makes Christmas that much more official. Lately, i've been finding a lot more of our friends and family are getting real trees (or maybe i'm just noticing)... which do you prefer, real or fake?

  1. Unfortunately I've never experience the "real tree" christmas, however I love the stories of playing tree hunt, and to have that smell in your home must really set the essence of Christmas. I shall try it one year… Perfect tree

    1. You definitely should! Even just a small one. They had little trees on their own wooden stands at another place we visited, so cute, even for the bedroom!

  5. I've never had a real tree but I would love to get one some day! The whole process of going and picking out the tree just seems magical to me. And the smell of a fresh tree is to die for!

  6. For the past two Christmases we've bought a tiny real tree from a local nursery. We don't really have room for a real tree, but we love 'em, so these little three-feet-tall guys are perfect. They come with their own stand and everything.

    Merry Christmas, Daniella! ★

    1. Yes! Those little ones are so cute! We almost got one for our bedroom, but we weren't sure what to put it in so it wouldn't ruin the carpet, lol. They'd be a perfect kids tree too! Merry Christmas!

  7. I love these photos & the trees are gorgeous! We had to get a fake one due to our kittens' love for all things shiny and bright (we thought a fake tree would do less damage) but I so wish we could have done something like this! Happy holidays!

    1. Thanks Angela! Oh kittens, they do love christmas trees. I heard putting citrus around the tree can deter them. I know our cat HATES anything citrus!
